Agile Data Engineering: Eliminate the Complexity of Big Data Through Automation

Feedback form is now closed.
According to Gartner, “only 15 percent of businesses reported deploying their big data project to production” while the rest waste away in limbo. The projects that do manage to deploy to production still take months and are extremely inefficient — 80 percent of time is spent preparing data instead of analysis.

  • What are the challenges and pitfalls you want to look out for?
  • Why is big data often a case of “death by 1000 paper cuts”?
  • How do you address the wide variety of use case requirements?

Automation can pull organizations out of big data limbo and empower them to derive true value from big data deployments on premise or in the cloud(s). This session will illustrate case studies of real companies and how they overcame the major pitfalls and stumbling blocks of big data with automation.  The discussion will look at the entire data engineering lifecycle including:

  • Ingesting data into the cluster
  • Transforming data and creating data pipelines
  • Generating in-memory models and cubes for sub-second queries
  • Operationally running and scaling your data pipelines end to end on an ongoing basis
